We’re right in the heart of Lafayette.
Ochsner Lafayette General has the busiest emergency department in Acadiana and handles the highest level of trauma in the region as a Level II Trauma Center. Antimicrobrial Stewardship Center of Excellence
Each year, even with standards put in place by the CDC Core Elements program for Antimicrobial Stewardship, 700,000 patients die due to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) infections. The Infectious Disease Society of America has designated Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center as a Center of Excellence in Antimicrobial Stewardship. One of only three of its kind in the state, this designation is given to facilities whose antimicrobrial stewardship programs go above and beyond in their requirements to ensure patients' infections are effectively and safely treated.
